•A hot tub is just above the river for relaxing after a day of skiing, fishing or hiking.
•Seven night minimum during the summer with Saturday arrival and departure.
Brief Description: This incredibly handsome lodge is built at the location of the fishing scenes in the classic movie “A River Runs Through It” in the Gallatin River Canyon between Bozeman and Big Sky. There are stunning views of the cliffs and the summit of Storm Castle from almost every room. From the deck you’ll enjoy the sound of the river just down the slope, pines all around, and the view across the river to the rock wall of Castle Rock. In addition to the lodge’s beautiful décor, you’ll enjoy a great stereo system, a 42” TV in the great room and in each bedroom, along with wireless Internet throughout the lodge.

Bedrooms and bathrooms: The home has four bedrooms and extra sleeping space in three different areas – the den, the loft, and the TV room off the bunkroom. The lodge has 3.5 baths. The master bedroom, just off the great room, has a king size bed, double doors to the deck and the river, and a private bath with two sinks and a large shower with a river pebble floor. Upstairs there are two bedrooms and a loft. The bedrooms have a king and a queen size bed and the loft has a queen sleeper sofa. These areas share a bath with a tub & shower, 2 sinks and a large closet. At the other end of the home, the bunkroom has two sets of bunk beds, one a double/twin, the other a twin/twin setup. The attached TV room is a great kid zone with a TV/DVD/satellite setup and a double size futon couch. The bunkroom also includes a bath with tub and shower. The last sleeping space is a queen sleeper sofa in the den off the great room. There’s also a half bath just off the kitchen.

Kitchen and dining: The well-appointed kitchen has granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a large walk-in pantry. There is a bar counter that seats 4 for chatting with the cook, and the dining table that seats 10 comfortably. There is also a gas barbecue for your outdoor grilling.

Great room: The great room has an amazing bank of windows looking out to the river canyon. There’s a vaulted ceiling, a large stone wood burning fireplace, comfortable seating for a crowd, and a wet bar with a fridge and sink. It’s a wonderful room for gathering! There’s a stereo, iPod docking station, TV, DVD, and in-wall speakers for stereo and TV surround sound.

Office: If you need to do a bit of work during your stay, you’ll enjoy the very comfortable den just off the great room. It’s equipped with comfortable seating, a nice built in desk, and wireless Internet.

Setting, acreage, and views: This lodge is situated at the filming location for the great fishing scenes in the classic “A River Runs Through It”. Hollywood chooses locations carefully, and they did well on this one. The Storm Castle cliffs are spectacular, and the view up-river to Garnet Peak is beautiful.

Outdoor Amenities: The highlight is a large deck accessed from the great room, dining room and master bedroom. From this vantage point, you’re looking up at the incredible cliffs and down towards the Gallatin River. With a picnic table in the yard, a hot tub & stereo speakers on the deck, it’s a perfect place to spend your evenings.

Activities nearby: Besides fishing right out the door, hiking, skiing and whitewater rafting are nearby. One of our favorite river outfitters is just up the road, and there are great hiking trailheads within a few miles. Big Sky and Moonlight Basin Ski areas are about 30 minutes away. For an especially memorable experience in the park, book a specialized private tour with our sister company, Greater Yellowstone Guides.
