Bundle up! It’s stroll season in Yellowstone Country. Each year, communities across Montana gather together to enjoy the season together with all the traditional (and not-so-traditional) festivities! Good food, libations, music, dancing and fireworks are all part of the fun. You’ll find gingerbread house contests, hayrides and gifts galore at all of our specialty retailers.

Bring your mittens, wish lists and some holiday cheer; the celebrations are almost here!

Gardiner Christmas Stroll

Stroll around town enjoying food, beverages, music and kids’ activities. Stop by the craft fair at the Gardiner Community Center where Santa is scheduled to make an appearance!

Hometown Holiday Lighted Parade

Big Timber, Montana

Friday, December 6, 2019, 5 p.m.

Storybook Christmas is the theme for this year’s parade, and we can’t wait to see all the floats! Start the evening with a chili feed, followed by the lighted parade, open houses and live music.

Snowflake Festival

Absarokee, Montana

Friday, December 6, 2019, 10 a.m. – Midnight

Spend the day at business open houses throughout the town, followed by a spaghetti dinner, lighted parade, dancing and fireworks!

Livingston Christmas Stroll

Livingston, Montana

Red Lodge Christmas Stroll

Red Lodge, Montana

Friday and Saturday, December 6 – 7, 2019, 6 p.m.

Red Lodge knows how to stroll! This two-day event kicks off on Friday evening with a community lantern walk down Broadway followed by the Blade Parade—snowplows decorated to the nines! Saturday night Santa joins the festivities while stores stay open late, and the holiday revelry really gets rolling.

Three Forks Christmas Stroll

Three Forks, Montana

Friday, December 6, 2019, 4 – 8 p.m.

The evening kicks off with a tree lighting ceremony followed by a lighted parade and horse-drawn carriage rides. Get your photo with Santa and Mrs. Claus at the firehouse, get your Christmas tree or wreath at the silent auction, check out the gingerbread house contest and fill up your Merchant Bingo Card for a chance to win great prizes!

Bozeman Christmas Stroll

Bozeman, Montana

Saturday, December 7, 2019, 4:30 – 7 p.m.

Start the day building gingerbread houses with the little ones at the Emerson Cultural Center. At 4 p.m., Santa arrives to lead everyone downtown where the famous holiday decorations will be lit. Enjoy food, drinks, music, hayrides and kids’ activities!

Big Sky Christmas Stroll

Big Sky, Montana

Friday, December 8, 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Stop by the kick-off party in Meadow Village Friday night, with Santa, sleigh rides, carolers and open houses. The festivities continue on Saturday with a lantern parade, caroling, s’mores and fireworks!

West Yellowstone Christmas Stroll

West Yellowstone, Montana

Saturday, December 14, 2019, 1 – 7 p.m.

The tree lighting and sparkler parade kicks off this day full of fun. Kids can enjoy a sleigh ride to the movie while mom and dad shop. Round out the day with gnome games, s’mores and smiles!

Belgrade Festival of Lights

Belgrade, Montana

Saturday, December 14, 2019, 8 a.m. – 8 p.m.

It’s a full day of fun starting with a community breakfast followed by the Jingle Jog 5k run. Afterward, stop at the high school for the One-Stop Holiday Shop with over 40 vendors. The day continues with live music, gingerbread house contents, and a live nativity and wraps up with a fireworks display!
