Bundle up! It’s stroll season in Yellowstone Country. Each year, communities across Montana gather to enjoy the season with all the traditional (and not-so-traditional) festivities! Good food, libations, music, dancing, and fireworks are all part of the fun. In addition, you’ll find gingerbread house contests, hayrides, and gifts galore at our specialty retailers.
Bring your mittens, wish lists, and some holiday cheer; the celebrations are almost here!
Gardiner Christmas Stroll
Gardiner, Montana
Thursday, December 2, 2021, 4 – 8 p.m.
Stroll around town enjoying food, beverages, music, and kids’ activities. Then, stop by the craft fair at the Gardiner Community Center, where Santa is scheduled to appear!
Crazy Mountain Christmas
Big Timber, Montana
Each Friday, November 26-December 17, 2021, 4:30-8:30 p.m.
Enjoy holiday festivities each Friday in Big Timber; a Winter Market, Viking Lighted Christmas Parade, Christmas Cruise to explore decorated homes, and Songs in the Square. Merchants and restaurants will stay open for holiday shopping and cheer!
Absarokee Wild West Snowflake Fest

The whole town turns out for holiday cheer and goodwill that keeps the hearth burning until spring. Each night kicks off with the Blade Parade of decorated snowplows. Then, enjoy late-night shopping, live music, and lots of revelries.

Holiday festivities to kick off the season! Photos with Santa, tree lighting, and parade, along with local downtown shopping, street vendors, and an indoor vendor show. Live music and food round out the evening.
Bozeman Christmas Stroll

Saturday, December 4, 2021, 4:30 p.m. – 7:30 p.m.
Join Santa as he parades caroling down Main Street. The lighting of the Bozeman’s iconic holiday lights kicks off the evening full of food, music, shopping, and a whole lot of holiday cheer.
Big Sky Christmas Stroll
Big Sky, Montana
December 10-12, 5:30 p.m.
The festivities begin with an intimate, festive gathering at Meadow Village Center on Friday. Then, on Saturday, enjoy a tree lighting ceremony, photos with Santa, illuminated cross-country/fat bike trails, music, fireworks, and good cheer.
West Yellowstone Christmas Stroll
West Yellowstone, Montana

Start the day at the Rodeo Run Sled Dog Races, then move into town for stan selfies, shopping, sledding, a parade of lights, lighting the town Christmas tree, sledding, and s’mores!

If you’re a lover of lights, Belgrade is where it’s at. Watch the Christmas Convoy, over seventy-five dump trucks, semis, garbage, and logging trucks decked in thousands of lights and convoying through the neighborhoods. Then, stroll through Holiday Light Park each night dusk until 11:00 p.m.
